Types of Prisoners
Male adult persons who are :

(a) prisoner on remand in any category;
(b) judgement respited prisoners;
(c) detainees under the provisions of the Immigration Ordinance;
(d) civil debtors;
(e) appellants (except under life sentence);
(f) Star and Ordinary Class adult prisoners (except under life sentence); or
(g) persons remanded under the Drug Addiction Treatment Centres Ordinance.

Visiting Hours
Social Visit
1) Remands (for types (a), (b), (c), (d) & (g) above):
Registration Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Visiting Time: 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
2) Prisoners or Appellants (for types (e) & (f) above):
Registration Time: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Visiting Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(No visit to Prisoners or Appellants on Monday & Wednesday afternoons, except public holidays)

Visit Room & Visitors Waiting Room inside the Centre are designated as non-smoking areas. Smoking is prohibited in the Visit Room & Visitors Waiting Room.

Bookings
1. Bookings should be made through Officer-in-charge of LCKRC Visit Room at 2785 3461 or 2176 0181. Booking starts at 8:30 a.m. until 4:30p.m.
2. Advance booking should be made by lawyers and prior consent must be obtained from clients.
3. Bookings can be made for service hours on that or the two following working days.
4. In normal circumstances, only one-hour duration will be assigned to one client. At the discretion of Officer-in-charge of Visit Room, more than one client may be allowed if the situation warrants.

Procurement of Private Food for Prisoner Awaiting Trial (Prisoner on Remand)
According to the Law of HK Chapter 234A, Rule 192, every prisoner awaiting trial may procure for himself or receive food. In order to meet with the management and security requirement, the Centre shall only allow licensed restaurant to supply food for the prisoners awaiting trial.
