Lo Wu Correctional Institution works in progress

 

The Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr Kwok Leung-ming, today (June 22) officiated at the commencement ceremony of the redevelopment works of Lo Wu Correctional Institution. 

The redevelopment of the Lo Wu Correctional Institution includes the construction of three institutions providing a total of 1 400 places at the existing site. The three new institutions will begin accepting inmates in 2010, presenting a substantial boost to the overall capacity of penal system in Hong Kong.

A commencement ceremony of the redevelopment works of Lo Wu Correctional Institution was held today (June 22) at the existing site. Picture shows a model of the project.
