Press Release

Autumn Fair will be held Saturday

The Correctional Services Department Sports Association (CSDSA) will hold its 55th Autumn Fair in Stanley on Saturday (November 24).

To mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR in 2007, the fair has chosen "Celebrate the 10th Anniversary with Love and Care" as this year's theme to celebrate this memorable and meaningful occasion.

Fifty-five years after it was founded in 1953, the popularity of the fair endures.  Arts and handicrafts, toys, rattan and wooden furniture made by prisoners, and other products will be on sale at about 40 stalls.  All proceeds from the sales will go to charities, including prisoners' welfare services, which provides an opportunity for prisoners to contribute to the community.

The fair's varied entertainment programme includes a marching band display, lion dance, training demonstration of guard dogs and a lucky draw.

The fair will take place from 11am to 5pm on the football field next to Stanley Prison. The public is welcome to share in the fun and contribute to charities.  Admission is free.

The venue is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260 and 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52.
