Shek Pik inmate hospitalised after loss of consciousness

     An inmate lost consciousness at Shek Pik Prison and was sent to a public hospital today (June 5).

      At about 11am, officers found the 58-year-old male inmate feeling unwell and dizzy after exercise. The officers immediately called for reinforcement and sent the inmate to the institution's hospital for treatment. He later lost consciousness and was subsequently transferred to a public hospital for further treatment.

      The case has been reported to the Police and family members of the inmate were informed.

      The inmate was serving a life sentence for the offence of robbery.
