Correctional officers stop inmates fighting in Shek Pik Prison

     Correctional officers stopped a fight involving inmates at Shek Pik Prison today (September 24).

     At about 11.50am, two male inmates, aged 53 and 28, were engaged in a fist fight at a bathing room. Officers immediately stopped them. Another 23-year-old male inmate was also suspected to have been involved in the fight.

     The three inmates were preliminarily examined in the centre hospital. The 28-year-old inmate sustained injuries and was transferred to a public hospital for further examination and treatment.

     The case has been reported to the Police for investigation.

     The three inmates were sentenced to jail separately for offences of wounding and robbery, trafficking in dangerous drugs and murder.
