Young Offender Assessment Panel (YOAP)
* Objectives:
  The Young Offender Assessment Panel (YOAP) is a special board jointly set up by the Correctional Services Department (CSD) and the Social Welfare Department (SWD), to provide co-ordinated professional views to magistrates/ judges in the sentencing of young male offenders aged 14 to under 25, and females aged 14 to under 21.
   
* Functions and Services Provided
 

The Panel members study and interview cases referred by courts, then compile reports to the courts with the aim of assisting the courts in the sentencing of convicted young offenders through the provision of a co-ordinated view on the most appropriate programme of rehabilitation.
