New Life Foundation

In a bid to support inmates to pursue vocational training, the Department has set up a “New Life Foundation” for three years starting from February 2009 with the first year donation of HK$300,000 from an anonymous philanthropist. The Foundation focuses on providing financial assistance to needy inmates to pay for relevant vocational training course and public examination fees with a view to helping them to acquire work skills and public accredited qualifications for their re-integration into the community.

The Department invites applications for financial assistance three times a year in the course of the Foundation.
