CSD officers stop an attempted escape

     Officers of the Correctional Services Department (CSD) yesterday (August 5) stopped a male 38-year-old remand person in custody from attempting to escape.

     At about 8.20pm, the male remand person in custody suddenly dashed towards the exit and attempted to escape at an outside hospital while waiting for admission to the hospital. He was instantly stopped by the escort staff and sent to the custodial ward.

     The case has been referred to the Police for investigation.
