Misbehaviour of visitor in reception centre

     Correctional services officers stopped the misbehaviour of a visitor who turned emotionally unstable in the Visit Registration Unit outside Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre today (April 8).

     Returning to the Unit after visiting a 31-year-old male remand inmate at about 1pm, the 41-year-old woman found that she had lost her bar code chit and could not get back her personal belongings from the locker.

     The on site staff provided the woman with assistance immediately but she refused to cooperate and behaved emotionally. She pushed down a computer monitor and two paper notice boards on the desk of the staff.

     The officer immediately stopped her and called for reinforcement. The case has been referred to the Police for follow-up.
