Welcome to the Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum (“the Museum”). Visitors are required to observe and comply with the following visiting rules:
- Members of the public may visit the Museum free-of-charge.
- No person shall obstruct others in making photo/film shoots. Flashlights, other lighting devices, selfie sticks and tripods shall not be used unless an application has been submitted and prior permission granted.
- Visitors shall not bring any dangerous items into the Museum. The Museum staff (“staff”) can inspect the personal belongings of persons seeking entry to the Museum when required.
- No loudhailers, banners, bunting, publicity materials or materials bearing slogans shall be brought into the Museum without the permission of the staff, and use or display of such materials in the Museum is strictly forbidden. The staff reserve the right to remove any form of flags, posters, bunting, banners or other means of display which may cause visual obstruction or make visitors feel unpleasant or pose danger to any person.
- No promotional materials, souvenirs or giveaway items shall be distributed in the Museum.
- Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed in the Museum.
- Please do not write on, mark, soil or damage any exhibit, installation, wall or facility in the Museum.
- To maintain a quiet, safe and pleasant environment, please do not make excessive noise or otherwise cause danger or disturbance.
- To avoid accidents, please do not run or play inside the Museum.
- Any person who disturbs other visitors in the Museum will be requested to leave.
- Visitors are responsible for their personal safety and must follow the staff instructions.
- Visitors shall only visit designated areas and shall not enter any restricted areas.
- No animals, except guide dogs, are allowed in the Museum.
- The Museum is equipped with security cameras for surveillance and recording purposes.
- If any visitor violates any of the above rules, the Museum reserves the right to immediately terminate the visitor’s access to the Museum and may request the visitor to leave the premises at once.
- The Hong Kong Correctional Services Department reserves the right to amend the above Terms and Conditions.
