Sick person in custody died in public hospital

     A sick person in custody from Stanley Prison died in a public hospital today (December 25).

     The 52-year-old male person in custody was sent to the public hospital for treatment on December 23 because of sickness.  He was certified dead at 9.02am today.

     The case has been reported to the Police.  A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.

     The person in custody was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years for an offence of throwing corrosive fluid with intent.
