Correctional officers found a credit card from articles handed in by a visitor in Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre yesterday (June 22).
At 1.50pm, the staff conducted security check on hand-in items from visitors and found a credit card concealed in a notebook which was intended to give to a 49-year-old male remand person in custody. As the credit card is not an approved item for handing to persons in custody, the case was reported to the Police for investigation.
The man was remanded for an offence of breach of a deportation order.
