Correctional officers stop fighting among persons in custody

     Correctional officers at Stanley Prison stopped a fight among persons in custody today (June 3).

     At 1.43pm today, three male persons in custody aged between 23 and 48 were found fighting inside the laundry workshop of Stanley Prison. Officers at the scene immediately stopped the fight and called for reinforcement.

     The three involved persons in custody were escorted to the centre hospital for examination and treatment. One of them sustained injury on his flank and was transferred to a public hospital for further treatment. The other two persons in custody did not need to be sent to a public hospital.

     The case has been reported to the Police for investigation.
