CSD announces cyber security incident

     The Correctional Services Department (CSD) has detected a persistent cyber attack from an unidentified source against its network this afternoon (September 11) and appropriate measures have been taken immediately to block the attack. No information has been leaked and the attack has not caused any impact on the CSD services.

     The case has been reported to the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force. Investigation into the attack is in progress and necessary cyber security measures have already been stepped up.
