Seizure of suspected dangerous drugs at correctional institution

    

     Correctional Services staff seized a pack of suspected dangerous drugs hidden in a magazine among other articles handed in for an inmate at Tong Fuk Correctional Institution during a security check last Saturday, a Correctional Services Department spokesperson said today (March 19).

     The case has been reported to the Police.

     The spokesperson said, "The department takes every measure to stop the introduction of dangerous drugs into correctional institutions. We are committed to maintaining a drug-free environment for all people in its custody."
