Tai Lam correctional officers stop fight between inmates

     Correctional officers today (February 12) stopped a fight between two inmates at Tai Lam Correctional Institution.

      At about 7.50am, two male inmates, aged 47 and 31 respectively, were found fighting inside the dining hall. Correctional officers at the spot immediately stopped them.

      Both inmates suffered minor injuries in the incident. They were taken to the centre hospital for medical examination and were conscious at that time.

      The case was reported to the Police for further investigation.

      The 47-year-old inmate is serving a sentence of six months for an offence of possession of dangerous drugs, while the 31-year-old inmate is serving a sentence of 31 months for offences of blackmail and using an identity card relating to another person.
