Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre officers stop fight between inmates

     Correctional officers today (March 1) stopped a fight between two inmates at Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre.

      At about 1.10pm, two male inmates, aged 35 and 32 respectively, were found fighting inside a toilet. Correctional officers at the spot immediately stopped and separated them.

      Both inmates were conscious at that time, suffering injuries on their faces in the incident. They were taken to the centre hospital for medical examination and treatment, with the 32-year-old inmate subsequently sent to a public hospital for further observation.

      The case was reported to the Police for investigation.

      The 35-year-old inmate is serving a sentence for an offence of robbery, while the 32-year-old inmates, for possession of arms without a licence.
