A remand inmate died in public hospital

     An inmate on remand from Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre died in a public hospital today (March 29).

     The 55-year-old female remand inmate reported sick and feeling dizzy at the centre at about 7.35am yesterday (March 28). She was subsequently sent to a public hospital for treatment where she was certified dead at 10.30am today.

     The case has been reported to the Police.  A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.

     The inmate was pending court hearing for the offence of inducing others to commit fraud.
