Sick inmate on remand dies in public hospital

     A sick inmate on remand who was sent to a public hospital earlier from Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre died today (May 25).

      The 48-year-old male inmate on remand was sent to a public hospital for treatment on May 20 because of sickness. He was certified dead at 1.32pm today.

      The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.

      The inmate was pending court hearing for an offence of being a member of triad society.
