Correctional services officers stopped fighting among three inmates in Tai Lam Correctional Institution yesterday (October 10).
At about 5.40pm, three male inmates aged 37, 45 and 34 became involved in a fist fight outside a bathroom. The officers immediately stopped them.
The trio were sent to the institution's hospital for examination and treatment. After the incident, an officer felt discomfort in his chest and was referred to a public hospital for examination.
The case has been reported to the Police for follow-up.
The three inmates were respectively sentenced for the offences of theft and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
