Inmate dies in public hospital

     A sick inmate from Tong Fuk Correctional Institution who was sent to a public hospital has died early this morning (October 28).

     The 54-year-old male inmate was referred to a public hospital on October 17 because of sickness. His condition had been deteriorating and he was certified dead at 1.59am today.

     The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.

     The inmate was jailed for the offence of theft.
